Hi! I'm Gianna Shikitino, and I am very excited to be featured on this well-established Web site - it is awesome! Speaking of awesome, WYBF FM The Burn is an awesome radio station! Music has always been a part of my life, ever since I was little. My family is very musically oriented. I started singing at a young age. I have done many competitions/talent shows, and have sung for weddings. Since college takes up most of my life, I had to give singing a break. But on my spare time I play a little bit of piano, write songs, and I am in the process of begging my grandfather to teach me how to play the guitar.
I am a communications major here at Cabrini College. I am very dedicated to my academics and activities that I pursue. I am the Features Editor for our award winning student-run newspaper, The Loquitur, Training Director for WYBF, and I am the Entertainment Anchor for Cabrini's weekly webdition called Loqation. Check it out at theloquitur.com! I have been inducted as a member into the Alpha Delta Honor Society, and I have been on the Dean's List since Fall 2007. Last semester I have been named on the President's List. This college experience is very fortunate for me, so I try to accomplish all that I can in a matter of four years. Guess you could say I'm an over-achiever? Well not exactly..but I'm trying - getting my money's worth.
After college I would like to do many things in the field of communications and multi-media. I would like to start a column in a magazine, co-host a local radio show, and anchor for a news or entertainment show. These goals are hard to accomplish, but hey I like to dream big.
